What are they saying these days?

Emily (reading herself a book about Jesus calming the storm): Mom, look. Why is Jesus sleeping in the boat?
Mom: Because he was tired.
Emily: You mean he was sleeping for our sins?

Eliana: Hello. Here you go.
Me: ...and here you go. (handing something back and forth)
Eliana: Thank you.

Aubrey: Me miss Papa and Nana. No they have to leave.
Me: You'd really like them to come back and play with you?
Aubrey: Yeah. Long time. Me really miss them.

Zac: Look at this, look at this, look at this! (He tends to learn a phrase and repeat it over and over, even if there is no context for it.) Zac loves to sing the ABCs and Happy Birthday

Aubrey (listening to Emily sing): That's a good song Emily!
Emily: Mom!! Aubrey is being kind to me!! She was thinking of others!!!

And the two year olds' clearest phrase in this local language. Which only a handful of you will understand: Shei fang pi le?
