Time flies . . .

Hard to believe that little Zac and Eliana have been with us for over a year now! The months have flown by.
Here are a few pics of when we first meet Zac and Eliana and when we picked them up from the orphanage in Ethiopia.

We could not wake Zac up when we first meet him. He did like his sleep, and the poor little guy just could not get enough when he had to share his bed with 3 others!

And he eventually woke up, but still seemed a little groggy when he was introduced to us . . .

Eliana also liked her sleep!

Meal time was always a good time!

And then there is always time for more sleeping!

And a little bit of ball time outside. . .

And a chance to get outside and get some vitamin D!

Eliana was trying to figure out who this guy was who was holding her. Actually, sometimes I still see the same look on her face!

Zac had his bags packed, but was not ready to go! Once we left it was quite the trauma on him as he was trying to figure out why he got left with some foreigners at the hotel. He really wanted to go back to the orphanage. It was so hard to watch him struggle to figure out what was going on.

Eliana on the other hand, well, she was up for a new adventure and was not too bothered by all the changes. But, then she was 9 months younger than Zac too, and did not know her world was being drastically changed!

And 1 year later, I think they are pretty well adjusted to their new family. Eliana has gotten a lot more hair, and has gotten much taller, and even started walking a couple months ago. She even can speak a couple words of Chinese and a couple words of English. Just this last week she even started to dance! Every day she gets more and more expressive.

Zac has also done quite good the last year. He has gotten much taller, and also has picked up a lot of English and a few words of Chinese. He would have a lot more hair, but we keep it short as we think it makes him such a handsome little guy! He also likes to dance with his sisters, and enjoys playing with them . . . and arguing with them too, but who doesn't like a little disagreement every now and again! Now we just need to get everyone out of diapers before #5 comes along this summer!
