How do people actually find time for blogs these days? It seems we have neglected this blog for a few months now! Time flies! We are heading to Thailand in 2 weeks now! Soon baby Sienna will be with us. Her due date is July 2, but we think she will be a June baby. So while in Thailand we will have 4 birthdays! First Zac, then Sienna, then Aubrey, and finally Emily. When we wrap up the summer and head back home, there will be a newborn, 2 year old, two 3 year olds and a 5 year old. That should be enough to keep us busy for a while. . . :-)
With so many young kids, the Lord continues to show us how far we have to go in becoming more Christ-like. It is such a joy to have so many blessings, yet at the same time it is tiring and exhausting. There are those moments where you feel like you have done such a great job as a parent, which are usually followed by moments where you think you are such a failure and cannot believe that the Lord would entrust you with 1 child, let alone soon to be 5! It's rewarding and humbling, but continually shows us how much we need the Lord's wisdom to train and teach our children and raise them up to love and follow hard after Christ.
We thank the Lord for his mercy towards us and his adoption of us into His family; how in His grace and election, He quickened our hearts to repentance and to love Him. We pray for more grace and mercy, and more opportunities to be shaped into the image of our dear Savior!
